Data Removal Resources
- Avoid using social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram)
- Never post about current vacations to prevent potential burglary
- For Amazon purchases:
- Use Amazon lockers at Whole Foods or affiliated stores instead of home delivery
- Purchase Amazon gift cards from grocery stores using cash
- Remove your information from data broker sites (TruePeopleSearch, ThatsThem)
Password Security
- Use two password managers:
- One for storing the master password of the other
- Both passwords should exceed 64 characters
Public Area Safety
- Disable “Automatically join networks” on your phone to avoid Evil Twin networks
- When in public spaces (transit, airports, coffee shops):
- Use cellular service instead of public WiFi
- Avoid banking applications or sensitive tasks on public networks
- Use a VPN if cellular service isn’t available
- Never leave personal devices unlocked in public
- Don’t use unknown USB devices
- Use secure operating systems (GrapheneOS or LineageOS)
- Use privacy screens to prevent shoulder surfing
- Park away from building entrances to maintain escape routes
Home Security

- Use secure router operating systems (OPNSense or DDWrt)
- Implement whole-home VPN

- Use strong WiFi passwords
